Friends of KYMTC

Join the Friends of KYMTC at the NoGo Cafe in Osgoode for an inspiring musical theatre variety and sing-along show for youth!! This is a ticketed event and all funds raised will go towards the Friends’ work to promote and support the Kemptville Youth Musical Theatre Company.

All ages are welcome to watch the show and youth from 12-20 are welcome to perform.

Youth can sign up to sing a musical theatre song onstage with our live accompanist or just come to enjoy the show! Duets and trio numbers are welcome as well! Family and friends are encouraged to come cheer on our youth and sing along to the great show-tunes we will hear!

Broadway Youth Variety Show Q&A

Q: Who are the Friends of KYMTC?
A: Friends of Kemptville Youth Musical Theatre Company (KYMTC) is a community volunteer group that provides financial support to KYMTC by engaging in fundraising activities, events, and outreach efforts to address priorities identified by KYMTC and also fosters community involvement and awareness of KYMTC through our activities.

Q: How do I buy tickets? Where does the money go?
A: Tickets are available online at Yapsody. All the funds raised will go towards future events that support KYMTC. For example, there are plans for the Friends to plan and host a KYMTC Gala Event in 2026- to celebrate the Company’s almost 25 years of staging amazing shows.

Q: My family wants to come and watch, but my kids aren’t performing. Is that ok?
A: Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. There are no age restrictions for the audience (i.e. all ages are welcome), but please note that everyone attending needs a ticket and all tickets are $20.

Q: Is this a licensed event? Will there be food and drinks available?
A: Because this is a youth focused event, there will not be any alcoholic beverages for sale. There will be coffees, teas, soft drinks, bottled water, and other drinks available for purchase- along with a variety of snacks.

Q: Is this a small venue? Are there tables or is this theatre seating?
A: The NoGo coffee is a great venue that hosts live music events throughout the year. There are only 75 tickets available and seating is at small and large tables- along with some individual chairs.

Q: What about parking?
A: There is free parking available in a lot next to NoGo café.

Key Activity- Supporting the KYMTC Sponsorship Program
The Friends of KYMTC coordinates the KYMTC Sponsorship  Program which gives an opportunity for local (North Grenville, Eastern Ontario, and Ottawa)  businesses to support a not-for-profit community-based youth musical theatre company that  has been staging productions in Kemptville for more than 21 years.

As a KYMTC sponsor, you will be supporting the only community-based youth musical  theatre company in Eastern Ontario and a program that doesn’t charge a fee to participate – meaning that any youth, regardless of their economic status, can audition and be part of the  show.  Your generous sponsorship will directly support the Company and the staging of Mary Poppins and will be promoted to approximately 2,400 people who will attend 8 shows over 3 weekends in March and April 2025. This large audience is made up of both local and Ottawa-based  individuals and families.
